Managing your passwords

I know what you’re thinking.. just what you need.. another APP. BUT if you’re like most people and have a gazillion passwords for everything from your credit cards, email and social media sites, listen up. My hubby told me about this app called Dashlane it’s the ultimate password manager and it’s free.

MORE: NYT on Dashlane

After hearing my better half rave about it, I signed up. It is pretty awesome at keeping track of all my passwords. Basically you end up with just one master password for all your accounts.. regardless what they require: One uppercase, an exlamation mark, a number, 2 vowels whatever. I love that Dashlane autofills forms like logins and checking out. You can get it via the web or mobile app.. I did both. Dashlane also alerts you when a security breach happens. There’s a digital wallet option too for making online purchases easier and more secure. It even saves a screenshot of your purchase. The best part.. it’s not all complex. Just put it this way: if my non-tech savvy husband can figure it out.. anyone can.
Sorry honey.

Do note that the 2.0 version is $20 a year.. but the earlier versions are free.
